Outlast Trials Escalation, also called Endurance Therapy, is the roguelite mode that came with Season 1: Project Lupara on 16 July 2024. You start with nothing, build a loadout from limited choices and push through randomised trials until every Reagent dies.
How Outlast Trials Escalation works
It unlocks at Therapy Level 15 and takes one to four players, with weekly and endless variants and leaderboards. It includes every MK-Challenge except Escape the Lies and a major trial every tenth stage, along with most variators and some made for the mode, so check the variators guide.
Choosing upgrades
The first selection is your rig and first-tier prescriptions, from a random pick of three. Later selections include rig upgrades, prescriptions, amps and items. Finishing the secondary objective gives an extra selection at the next trial.
Saves and co-op
After a trial you can leave or continue, and you can resume from a checkpoint later. In co-op only the group leader has the save file. Once all upgrades are maxed, packages with boosters and items are delivered outside the shuttle, up to three items per player.
Escalation and your loadout
Fandom notes that amps such as Self Revive can be used again after each trial, which can save your respawn pills, and recommends Last Chance and the Jammer rig's Pacemaker upgrade for survival. See the best loadout guide for other sets, and the crossplay guide for party sizes.
