Outlast Trials Program Geister is the game's yearly Halloween event, and it returns on 21 October 2026 with Invasion Experimental Therapy. This guide covers what the event adds, how the earlier editions went and which pages to read first.
What Outlast Trials Program Geister adds
Fandom describes a series of trials and MK-Challenges with variators that raise the presence of the Skinner Man and hallucinations, keep every Ex-Pop in an Enraged status and raise the chance that Imposters are deployed. A secondary objective asks you to collect organ samples from deceased allies impaled on hooks. Geister tokens buy items and Legendary Reborn outfits. The event runs as two parts on a bi-weekly rotation.

The 2026 return
Program Geister comes back on 21 October 2026 with Invasion Experimental Therapy. Season 8 brings a new Prime Asset and a new trial environment. Details were not published when this page was written, so check the update log for changes. Read the Invasion guide first if you have not played it.
How to prepare
Fandom says Enraged Enemies react even to the slightest noise, so quiet amps such as Noise Reduction and Slippers matter. Skinner Man scares are more frequent, so read the Skinner Man page for what he can and cannot do. The best loadout guide has complete sets.
